Culinary Institute Lenotre
CIL Family,
I am enthused to share some news with you regarding various successes that are enriching our students’ education and experience at CIL. Over the last few months, our administration team has been diligently working on the final stages of its Bachelor of Science Degree application. This month, ACCSC, our national accrediting agency, approved the following degrees:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Culinary Arts
Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management
These Higher Education degrees were developed to enhance management potential for career mobility and entrepreneurial opportunities for the learner. They include distance education – hybrid (combination of Online and In-person) learning modality and will be offered beginning our October 2024 Start. As a CIL Alumnus, we wanted to reach out and notify you of this great achievement in CIL’s 25th anniversary as well as an opportunity for you to continue your education with a baccalaureate degree.
I am sincerely grateful for all the hard work and contributions from our administration team that made this possible. As the architect of creating higher education programs for accreditation such as these, I can share with you that the approval of these two baccalaureate degrees places CIL in a new category of Higher Education. A category that each of my staff has been a part of to elevate CIL through their hard work and dedication. Behind the scenes, the improvements in Retention, Completion; Placement, Compliance, Quality of Education, and International and Partnership Initiatives have yielded exceptional results which positioned CIL for the next level of degree offerings.
The International Study Tour Leadership Team has also been busy with new initiatives to help improve student-focused outcomes and great opportunities for new experiences. The study tours are both domestic (U.S.A.) and international. The new affiliations with Intercontinental Hotel and Marriott International have yielded new opportunities in North America (Canada) and Alaska. These additional sites add to our existing Puebla, Mexico site and Corsica, France.
Our new college president, Gaston Lenotre, took over on July 22nd and is already contributing to the expansion of our French Affiliations by helping us secure an agreement with Anantara Plaza Hotel in Nice, France. This is a 5-star Hotel located on the French Riviera overlooking Le Jardin Albert 1er and Baie des Anges is a beautiful historic nineteenth-century building. Inaugurated in 1848 in old-world elegance, this location was once home to the city's first luxury hotel in Belle Èpoque façade, Hotel de France. We are scheduled to send our first group of students for the October term. The affiliation is unique in that they welcome six students representing each of our programs four terms per year.
