Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our menu planning and dietary department guidelines. Job requirements:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during meal preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to all dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food products to maintain freshness and quality Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines
- Excellent understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
